Brewers fans bring needed business to area bars, restaurants for NLCS Game 2 after August's historic flooding
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Brewers fans flocked to local bars and restaurants Tuesday, at a time when business is especially needed.
Around two months ago, Fourth-N-Long was hit by August's historic flooding. They also lost their brand-new shuttle, which they'd started service for this baseball season.
But Tuesday night, the bar was full of loyal fans showing support not just for the Brew Crew, but to this restaurant.
Dozens of fans made their way through Tuesday night, eager to get in on the action of Game 2 against the Dodgers.
Owner Michael Lange says normally, Tuesday nights are quiet. But now, thanks to the Brewers, the bar is full of people at a time he says his business needs it most, as they continue to recover from the floods.
He says the bar's shuttle has finally been fixed and is back on the road after it flooded while providing game-day services.
He says it's rewarding to celebrate their home team and how far the bar has come since August, and customers agree.
"That's been fantastic. We are home for Monday and Tuesday night. We're really happy upstairs. Got that energy going right now," Lange said.
"I love it here at the bar, because I get to watch all the TVs and see all the excitement," said customer and Brewers fan Richard Leifer.
It was a tough Brewers loss for many people to watch Tuesday night, but the crowd said they're just happy to have their go-to spot back. They say they're excited for more fall sports fun.
