RALEIGH, NC (CBS 58) -- A former Milwaukee Public Schools teacher was killed in a hit-and-run crash Friday, Nov. 29 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Sueann Pugh, an author originally from southern Illinois, taught children with learning disabilities for MPS for years before moving to North Carolina with her husband.

Officials say that 33-year-old Magda Stephanie Galicia fled the scene of the crash and was later arrested. She was charged with felony hit-and-run with death and driving with a revoked license.

Her bond is set at $100,000 and she is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
