Generac strikes multibillion-dollar deal with Amazon for data center backup power

CBS 58 WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) — Waukesha-based Generac has reached a long-term, multibillion-dollar agreement with Amazon to provide backup generators for the company's data centers.
According to Reuters, initial deliveries under the agreement are expected to total about $2.5 billion in 2027 and 2028.
Generac is a global manufacturer of energy technology products, including residential, commercial and industrial power generation equipment.
The agreement comes as Amazon continues expanding its data center infrastructure to support its cloud computing and artificial intelligence operations.
