March stats are in after a wet and warm month

March ended a few days ago and now the March weather stats are in. There is no doubt it was a wet month. We got a ton of rain and one big wet snow event which pushed our monthly precipitation to 5.51" which is over three inches above-average, wetter than last March in 2023 which saw a ton of snow and officially goes down as the third wettest March on record.

In one snow storm we also saw the monthly snow total above average as well. The monthly total of 8.1" was just a bit above average. But it was nowhere close to March 2023 which was one of the snowiest March's on record with almost two feet of snow.

March was also a warm month. We saw some chillier days here and there but overall the average temperature of 40.8* was almost five degrees above average and goes down as the eight warmest March on record.

The first few days of April have been wet and a little cool. On average, April is a very wet month and the second wettest month of the year with almost 4" of precipitation. And just like the last few days have shown us, we can get snow. The month averages just over 2" of snow. When it comes to average temperatures the highs go from around 50 to 60 and the lows warm from the low 30s to the low 40s.
