Milwaukee County Zoo offering free admission for guests 60 and older at Senior Safari on June 16
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Zoo is hosting Senior Safari on Tuesday, June 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with free admission for guests 60 and older and their caregivers. Proof of age is required.
Megan O'Shea of the Milwaukee County Zoo joined us on Thursday, June 11 to delve into more details.
Activities include chair yoga, pickleball, a guided fun walk, live entertainment from pianist Marcell Guyton and an ambassador animal meet. Exhibitors focused on senior resources will be set up in the Peck Welcome Center, with organizations including AARP Wisconsin, the Alzheimer's Association and the Milwaukee County Aging and Disability Resource Center.
The zoo also noted that dads get free admission on Father's Day, Sunday, June 21, and that a new outdoor dairy cow yard recently opened in the Family Farm.
