Calling for hit or miss rain opportunities in the days ahead. And we need it! Here's what is out there now:
While isolated in nature, some have had some lightning along with a brief downpour. All of this activity will build and drift east. The showers that do form shouldn't last too long. No strong trigger exists for any organized widespread storms, but just a touch of instability aloft with warm and somewhat humid temps is all it takes to fire off some of these cells. In between any isolated activity, it should still be a nice day, especially if you plan to head over to the State Fair: Wet weather chances should end around the dinner hour, leaving the evening and night dry. With one week in the books this month we should have .80" of rain so far this month. The reality is so far we're back to not many drops in the rain bucket with just .01" so far for Milwaukee, that came on the 3rd. Fortunately, we do have some additional opportunities for rain this week. Here's how it looks as of now: Today's chances remain isolated in nature... and tomorrow too albeit maybe a 30% chance over a 20% chance today. By Friday the potential for a more widespread rain is there. Let's hope it pans out. I'm currently putting 50% chances down to end the work week. And by the end of the weekend, we eye another system that could bring in storms Sunday night into Monday morning.
