Powerball ticket worth $2 million sold at Festival Foods in Appleton

CBS 58

APPLETON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Whoa! One lucky Powerball player is hanging onto a winning $2 million ticket.

The ticket, sold at Festival Foods on Van Roy Road in Appleton, was for the July 5 Powerball drawing. The winning ticket matched five numbers (1-28-34-50-58), but not the Powerball (8).

Saturday's winning Powerball play included the $1 Power Play feature, turning a $1,000,000 prize into a $2,000,000 win because of the 2X multiplier.

In 2025, there have been two $1,000,000 Powerball prizes won in Wisconsin so far. Coincidentally, both winning tickets were sold at Festival Foods locations.

In the United States, only two Powerball tickets matched five numbers for the Saturday drawing. One in Wisconsin and one in Louisiana.

Congrats to the lucky player!
