Racine & Me: Dear Senior Valentine Drive

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Senior Helpers Racine & Kenosha is doing their Second Annual “Dear Senior” Valentine Drive for local Seniors. Ivan Payes joined us to talk about this fun initiative to make everyone's holiday special this year. At Senior Helpers, we believe every senior deserves to feel loved, valued, and connected—especially on Valentine’s Day. Our “Dear Senior” Valentine’s Day Card Drive is a heartfelt initiative to bring joy to seniors in our communities through hand-delivered Valentine’s Day cards.

How it works: We’re asking schools, community groups, and local organizations to create handmade Valentine’s Day cards with kind messages to brighten the day of seniors who may feel lonely or isolated. We will then hand deliver the Valentines to local Seniors on Valentine’s Day. Why this Matters: For many seniors, a simple card can mean the world—it’s a reminder that someone cares, and they’re not forgotten. Your thoughtful messages can help spread smiles and joy this Valentine’s Day. Deadline for collection is February 12 Last year; we collected over 600 Valentines and hope to top that this year!
