Rain chances return for the weekend
This week started off with some intense storms and tornadoes on Monday with heavy rain but since then it's been very dry, fairly sunny and a touch warm with highs in the low 80s. Our dry stretch of weather comes to an end for the weekend with rain chances looking borderline likely for Saturday with a slight chance for a lingering sprinkle on Sunday.
Even with the borderline likely chance, some may stay dry Saturday thanks to the light and scattered nature of the storms. These are not expected to be hefty storms like what happened on Monday but some scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder will be possible from about 10 am through 7 pm. The afternoon will be the best chance to see some rain.
Don't expect any heavy rain with most only seeing a tenth or two tenths of an inch of rain but those that see heavy downpours or some stronger storms with gusty wind could get up to a half inch. This is not expected to be a flooding rain.
