MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- New police dashcam video shows a high-speed pursuit that led to the arrest of six teens.
The chase ended near Bender and Lydell, just north of Bayshore Mall. Police deployed spike strips on Bender Road, disabling the vehicle.
It started Sunday when Glendale police tried to pull over a stolen car in a parking lot but it took off. During the chase, officers deployed spike strips, but the car still sped through red lights and into oncoming traffic.
A responding officer radioed, "Their car is falling to pieces right now. They just lost their back tire and their back bumper."
The car later ran another red light at Bender and Port Washington Road. The officer said, "Nearly missed a vehicle, slid out of control."
After crashing to a stop, several teens jumped out and started running away.
In all, six teens ran from the car, but all were eventually taken into custody and turned over to Glendale police.
According to officials, multiple North Shore area police departments worked in cooperation in apprehending the suspects.
