MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Enchant Christmas, recognized as the world's largest holiday light event, is inviting local Milwaukee musicians to showcase their talents in their holiday song contest, Enchant’s Sounds of the Season.

Artists who believe they have the next great Christmas radio hit are asked to submit either original compositions or covers of classic Christmas songs. The most outstanding submission will earn a grand prize of $1,000 and an all-expense paid recording session in a top-tier studio.

Additionally, four runner-up contestants will be awarded $500 each and have their song highlighted on Enchant Christmas' social media platforms.

Submissions, in the form of video recordings, are being accepted through Oct. 31. The general public will then have the opportunity to vote for their favorite entries from Nov. 1 to 14. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

This competition comes as a prelude to Enchant Christmas's debut in Wisconsin, which is scheduled to start on Nov. 24 at Franklin Field.
