Man taken into custody on several charges following incident in Town of Dover

RACINE COUNTY (CBS 58) – Authorities say a man was taken into custody following an incident involving a knife in the Town of Dover on Thursday, April 1.

The sheriff’s office says it was called to a home for a report of a man with a knife. The victim at the home told authorities the suspect had just tried to stab him and he was locked in a bathroom.

The victim told deputies he and the suspect got into a fight over property and the suspect tried to stab the victim as the victim used a chair to defend himself.

The victim had small cuts to his head and said it was from the chair hitting him. The suspect was taken into custody at Burlington Memorial Hospital where he told authorities he was receiving care to his hands which were cut while he was cutting food.

He is being held in the Racine County Jail on several charges.
