RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Harry Wait was sentenced to three years of probation on Tuesday, June 2 after being found guilty in March of three counts related to election fraud in Racine County.
A jury found Wait guilty of two misdemeanor counts of election fraud and one felony count of identity theft against Racine Mayor Cory Mason. He was acquitted of a felony identity theft count related to Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.
Wait had admitted to requesting absentee ballots using the identities of both Vos and Mason, saying he did so to expose vulnerabilities in the system and to "save the republic."
