Racine, WI (CBS 58) -- Jason Love, Daniel Winter, and Miguel Sosa of The Racine Video Production Workshop joined us in studio to discuss their efforts to cover events and interview people on topics related to the City of Racine.
Love is the Director of the program and released the following statement about their work:
"This year, we've revamped the Racine Video Production Workshop and created a video podcast studio out of a storage room at Case High School. The students worked hard to raise funds and get sponsors, and we are hoping for a few grants this year to expand the program. We dedicate a large amount of time to connecting with the community through our videos. A future project we are launching is a video series working with the Racine Police Department. We would have video podcasts covering topics or questions the community submits along with us making short videos on the community programs the RPD put on or are part of (examples: Shop with a Cop, Cops N Cuts, Etc). We have conducted a few pilot episodes that we are releasing as we finish them. We meet Monday through Thursday at Case High School in room 242. It is open to any student in Racine County thanks to RUSD Extended Learning, Educators Credit Union, Recon Furniture in Racine, and our wonderful donors and volunteers."
