After Wednesday's flooding rains, an isolated storm is possible to start Summerfest
For days the CBS 58 Weather Team was highlighting Wednesday as the day with the best chance for some heavy rain and storms. We did see that with most of southeast Wisconsin getting a half inch to 2" of rain and our southwest counties especially in and around Walworth County seeing 2-4" of rain and likely higher in isolated locations.
For the Opening Day of Summerfest Thursday expect a dry start to the day when gates open around Noon then there is a chance for some isolated storms around dinnertime as temperatures warm into the low 80s with things clearing out later this evening as temperatures drop to around 70 but remaining muggy all day.
The best chance for an isolated shower or storm the rest of the day is in the late afternoon and evening hours Thursday. Friday will have another chance for showers and storms but timing is still uncertain.
Any isolated storms that do form on Thursday could be on the stronger side with a Level 1 Marginal Risk for the entire state of Wisconsin. Some small hail and gusty wind will be the main threats with any storms that do form.
